Moira McErlean has been a nurse for more than 40 years with a focus on vascular access since 1988. She is currently a vascular access specialist at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital, part of University Hospitals of Cleveland. Her responsibilities include insertion of PICCs, including mid-thigh insertions, and difficult PIVs in the Neonatal and Pediatric patient population, education of CVL care and maintenance for the nursing and resident staff, education for PICC inserters as well as CVL complications, repair and problem solving for the Pediatric Vascular Access Team. She has previously lectured locally and regionally.
Moira held multiple board positions for the Western New York Chapter of INS including president twice and is presently the President of the North East Ohio Association of Vascular Access, a network of the Association for Vascular Access.
