Before securement and adhesives fail, SafeBreak Vascular separates. This preserves the IV access line from IV complications (infiltration, dislodgement, phlebitis), shuts off the flow of medication from the IV pump and alerts medical personnel to come address the situation. In a matter of minutes, a medical care giver can remove the separated SafeBreak Vascular and replace it with a new one so that the patient's medical treatment can resume.
