Kathryn Trautman DNP, MSN, RN, CNML, is a nursing practice leader in the Department of Nursing with Quality at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. She is also the nurse manager for both the phlebotomy and adult vascular access teams. She provides consultation, education, and evidence-based quality improvement strategies to improve health outcomes with a focus on reducing health care– associated infections and improving vascular access knowledge and implementation to better patient outcomes.
