Dr. Alina Burek is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. As a pediatric hospitalist, she became interested in clinical research related to pediatric inpatient care. Her research focuses on reducing patient harm, lowering medical costs and improving healthcare quality by decreasing unnecessary medical interventions (e.g., vascular access devices) and promoting care that is centered on sound medical evidence.
