Sarah Capalla is a Registered Nurse with over 25 years of experience in many clinical specialty areas, including Adult Critical care, Trauma, Neurosciences, Critical Care Transport, procedural sedation, Education, and Hospital Administration. She currently is the Patient Care director for the Critical Care Specialty Team, Vascular Access Team, and the Radiology Recovery Room.

Sarah has become very passionate about vascular access and is currently the president of the CaliVAN Network of the Association for Vascular Access. She has had her team featured on the cover of Advance Nurse Magazine and had a poster accepted to the Association for Vascular Access conference in 2016 and 2018. In 2019 at the Association for Vascular Access Annual Scientific Meeting, she presented a podium presentation entitled “Adding the Catheter into Your Bundle”.
