Holly Hess, RN, BSN,VA-BC

Pediatric Vascular Access Team RN
Wolfson Children’s Hospital

Holly graduated from Penn State in 1975 and worked in Labor and Delivery and IV Therapy before spending 25 years in a Level 3 NICU, and 18 years in Pediatric and Neonatal Vascular Access. She started and developed the Pediatric Vascular Access Team at Wolfson Children's Hospital in Jacksonville, FL where she was the Assistant Nurse Manager of the team until her retirement in June 2018. The Pediatric Vascular Access team places all PICCs as well as ultrasound guided PIVs, and peripheral arterial lines in pediatric and neonatal patients. Holly has presented several times at AVA and teaches pediatric and neonatal PICC insertion.
