Bethany L. Fitzgerald, MSN-RN, CNOR

Bethany Fitzgerald graduated with her BSN-RN from Missouri Western State University in 2016. She began her career in the cardiovascular operating room at The University of Kansas Health System where she circulated a variety of cardiac and thoracic surgeries. She developed a passion for navigating nursing challenges with the use of education and competency development. She is currently an Education Specialist for Procedural Services where she mentors nurse educators throughout the perioperative and procedural division. As an Education Specialist her focus is on staff development, quality improvement, nursing orientation, and excellent patient care. She is certified as a perioperative nurse and obtained her Master of Science in Nursing Education from her alma mater in 2020. Outside of work she enjoys cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, and spending time with her family at the lake.
