Orlaith Hernon, RGN, RCN, RNT, BSc, PgDip, MSc

Orlaith is a PhD student in the University of Galway and was awarded a PhD scholarship in the area of learning technologies and is currently investigating the use of technology in Nursing education. Orlaith is a registered General Nurse, Children’s Nurse and Nurse Tutor. She has completed her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Children’s and General (Integrated) Nursing and continued her studies to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Sciences (Emergency Care) and then a Masters of Health Science in Nursing Education. Prior to her current role as a PhD student, Orlaith has previously worked as an Emergency Department nurse and Clinical Research Nurse and has carried out a teaching support staff role during her PhD.
