Continuing Education Credits at AVASM23

Sessions eligible for continuing education credits:

Exhibitor events may or may not offer CE credits through their own provider number. If you plan to attend an exhibitor event, please contact the exhibitor if you have questions about continuing education for their event.

Nursing CE

The Association for Vascular Access (AVA) is an approved provider of continuing education by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP12371. It is the responsibility of each participant to determine if his or her state/national licensing agency or certification organization recognizes continuing education hours from approved Providers of the California Board of Registered Nursing for credit toward renewal licenses or credentials.

VA-BC™ (Vascular Access Board Certification)

Credits earned may be used toward your VA-BC™ recertification. Simply submit your CE certificate when applying or renewing.

CRNI® (Infusion Nurses Certification Corporation)

The Infusion Nurses Certification Corporation’s (INCC) RN examination Council reviewed and approved the following sessions from the 2024 Annual Scientific Meeting of the Association for Vascular Access:

• Destination Postcard: Envisioning the Future in Healthcare
• Vascular Access Device Assessment Liability – Navigating a Minefield Post-COVID
• Addressing the Silence: Vascular Access and Infusion Therapy. Time for a Renaissance
• The INS Infusion Therapy Standards of Practice: Application to Clinical Practice
• Extreme Vascular Access: Expanding Vascular Access Practice Skills and Strategies

This program has been approved by the Infusion Nurses Certification Corporation (INCC) for 5 CRNI® recertification units. A CRNI® can submit a maximum of five (5) CRNI® recertification units from this category during the three-year recertification period.

Nurses follow the instructions below to receive your continuing education certificate:

  1. Note the CE code: At the close of each session, a unique CE code will be announced and
    displayed on the screens inside the session room. Boxes have been provided for you to
    record these CE codes on the Schedule-at-a-Glance. If you are using the mobile event app,
    you can record the CE codes on the title and/or final slide of the handouts you downloaded
    for each session.
  2. Complete the surveys: Simply go into the mobile event app and click “Eval” on the home
    screen and complete your surveys after each session you attend. Or go to
    www.avainfo.org/eval. All surveys (including the overall conference evaluation) must be
    completed no later than December 13, 2023, at 11:59 Eastern Time.
    After this date, you will
    NOT be issued a Continuing Education Certificate.
  3. SAVE, Print and download your certificate: Once your session AND overall conference
    evaluations are complete, you will click on the certificate(s) needed to download and print a
    copy for your files.

ACCME credits for MD's, NP's, PA's Category I and DO's Category II


In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Amedco LLC and Association for Vascular Access. Amedco LLC is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.


Physicians (ACCME) Credit Designation

Amedco LLC designates this live activity for a maximum of 11.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

MD’s, NP’s, PA’s, and DO’s Requesting credits follow the instructions below to receive your continuing education certificate.
